Szolyd works closely with local artists to help facilitate the conceptualization, design and installation of public art.

Concrete is an ideal material to stand up to to extreme weather conditions and high traffic environments. Without sacrificing the integrity of an artists vision, Szolyd can deliver a product that meets local building codes and safety regulations for these highly public spaces.

Commonly used for, but not limited to figurative statuary, concretes boundaries and definitions are being challenged. It can be cast into any shape, texture or colour. It can be inlay-ed, overlay-ed, sandblasted and patina stained – thus allowing for virtually unconstrained design parameters.

By using state of the art casting materials such as Ductal UHPC concrete, Szolyd can cast lighter, thinner, and more detailed pieces which will last much longer than traditional materials.
